Celebrate the Best “Wurst” Bike Ride as riders “Hand Off the Baton” on August 19, 2023.

The 2023 Best “Wurst” Bike Ride, hosted by the Bucyrus Tourism and Visitors Bureau under the supervision of the Bucyrus Area Chamber of Commerce, offers cyclists of all ages and abilities the opportunity to explore the Crawford County countryside, riding along a trail of local flora and farms.

With a multitude of distances available — including a 15-, 32- and 47-mile ride — the route is well marked and flat with little traffic. The 15-mile route can be broken down into distances of 8, 11 and 13 miles. Maps and signage will be available to ensure safety and accessibility, and digital maps are available for more sophisticated riders. SAG volunteers will also be available to support cyclists and ensure safety.

Registration for the long ride is $25 before Aug. 1 and will increase to $30 after. Registration for the short ride is $15. Children under 10 years old are free with a paid adult. T-shirt orders must be made before Aug. 1. Registration for the 2023 Best “Wurst” Bike Ride will open later in the year. To learn more about the event, view the routes, or sign up for the festivities, email Becky Chapman at [email protected].

The ride is organized by the Bucyrus Area Chamber of Commerce to support of the Bucyrus Tourism and Visitors Bureau at 177 E. Mansfield St., Bucyrus, OH 44820.

This ride is offered to complement the local Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival.
